Shadows or Son Light?

Things are not always the way they appear!

I was traveling to visit my mother and had to fly to New York from Arkansas.  As we flew above the clouds, brightly lit up by the sun above, they were fluffy, bright, white  and beautiful!  From my vantage point, above the clouds, I could not see the dark, ominous looking underside of the clouds–all I could see was the patchwork of shadows and bright spots on the ground and the bright sun above.

Same sky, same sun, same clouds, same land yet depending on how you look at all these things you have a different prospective.

How do you look at the circumstances in your life? Are you thinking of things above and seeing the bright light of the Son or are you allowing the clouds (circumstances) to block the light of the one who allowed those circumstances to be a part of your life?

God does not create the circumstances in our lives, sometime we do by choosing which path we are going to walk and sometimes our circumstances are caused by the choices of others but he DOES bring His light to shine on those circumstances IF you let Him. No matter how dark things seem, we can see the light of the Son! He is ready and eager to help us through, all we need to do is ask! God only wants good for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Are you allowing yourself to live in the shadow cast by your circumstances or allowing God to lead you and show you the silver lining in the clouds surrounding your life?

Are you resting under the protection of His wings or under the dark shadows cast from your circumstances?

Psalm 36:7 (NIV)

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

I choose to rest under HIS wings-why not give it a try?

BTW When we descended down through the clouds that were bright on top yet dark an ominous below what did I see when we landed? A beautiful rainbow!

Genesis 9:16 (NIV)

Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

Do do you have circumstances in your life that are casting a shadow that is blocking the Son? I would love to join you in prayer so that, no matter the storm, you see and trust the Son!
